Opinion Essay - Corona Vaccination

The Coronavirus has been spreading for almost a year in this world. There are more and more people infected and suffer from it. Some people even died because of the virus. There are several things and behaviours that are often recommended to reduce the spread of the coronavirus, such as social distancing, wearing mask, stay at home, often wash our hand with soap and water. But, that behaviours only, doesn’t very help us to reduce the number of people that infected by that virus. To prevent more people from becoming infected and suffering from the virus, we need vaccine.               For me, I think vaccine is necessary because vaccine can build herd immunity. With herd immunity, we are less likely to be infected with the virus. Although it can not guarantee us 100% that we will never be infected by that virus, but it’s better than not. Even if we still infected by the virus after we have been vaccinated, our disease will not be as worse as if we are not vaccinated. It’s

Narrative Text - Advice

Suddenly it rained while Leyna was running home. She ran as fast as she could so she could get home before the rain became heavier, especially considering the number of assignments to submit tomorrow. She missed the bus and she didn’t carry her umbrella because she woke up late.

Leyna made it home after running all the way. However, she arrived home later than usual. She didn’t have more time to do her assigments. She hasn't even made dinner and took a shower yet.

"I think I have to stay up late again tonight,” she muttered with a tired sigh.

Leyna lived alone in her house since her parents decided to move to their hometown. Her older brother, Randy, chose to live in an apartment near the house Leyna currently lives in. Leyna and her brother's relationship is not very good. This evening they also just had a big fight.

This morning, Leyna was late for school again because she woke up late. After she finished her punishment, she was able to return to her class.

“Is it because of staying up late again?” Ashley asked while showing the page in her textbook to Leyna which only Leyna answered with a nod.

"This is just my opinion, you better find another part-time job that doesn't take up too much of your time. Besides, your brother already gave you pocket money," Ashley opened the conversation as they walked towards the school gate.

"But my relationship with him is not very good, I don't feel comfortable asking him for money," complained Leyna.

"But he doesn't mind it, right?"

"Maybe? Never mind. I have to hurry to my workplace. I don't want to be late. See you tomorrow,” Leyna shouted while running away.

Leyna, who was running home, was shocked and slowed her steps when her cell phone that she had in her pocket vibrated. She was annoyed when she saw who called her.

"What? If there's nothing important, I'll turn off the phone," Leyna immediately asked when the phone was connected.

"Are you late again today? Your assignments were also not being done?" Randy asked.

        "So what?"

“Your teacher called me this morning. I told you, don't come home too late if you want to work part-time, you don't have enough time to do your assignments, right?” Randy started grumbling.

“Please, you always get angry because of that.”

“It’s because your never want to listen to me.”

Suddenly, Leyna screamed as someone suddenly grabbed her bag and pointed at her with a knife. Panicked, she shouted for help and her location to her brother before his cell phone was taken by that person. Luckily, her brother was around there, so he could help her. Her things were successfully retrieved.

“See? That’s why I told you not to come home too late.”

“I’m sorry,” answered Leyna. “I will find another part-timer job which doesn't make me going home late at night.”

“Good. Now, I’ll take you home.”

        "Thank you."
